while being a resident artist at nottingham trent university my 2 dimensional practice was reignited. prior to this i had used photography to document activity and mark making output with not much awareness of how the 2 d process sat in my practice.
the moment of ignition was seeing the staff exhibition in the bonnington gallery. from seeing it i got the sense of where enquiry sat within mark making, there was also a clear sense of interdisciplinary collaboration amongst the research groups.
the turning point happened by chance after an evening meal, a combination of mark making and processing of the digital photograph:

i currently have two lines of enquiry ongoing with mark making:
a: without intention
b: awkward
within the corridor arts practice we have the murmation project running which is a participatory activity connected to the belper art trail.
occasionally i use a photo journal website to make a daily contribution, this journal is connected to my twitter feed.
